We’re so glad Jon Holstad, MD chose medicine instead of law. Find out all the reasons why radiology was a perfect fit and how our patients end up with the best care.
How, when and why did you decide to pursue a career in medicine?
Growing up I thought I was going to be a lawyer, but when I caught glimpses into my dad’s law books, I noticed there were never any pictures. At one point in high school, we started learning the anatomy of the heart, and it was a great balance of pictures, diagrams and text. I was so fascinated I kept reading for fun after the assignment was over and soon realized I wanted to go to medical school.
What do you like most about your job?
I love the challenge of difficult and complex cases and discussing the potential possibilities with referring doctors and other radiologists.
What is your favorite way to spend free time?
Hiking and exploring Colorado with my wife and daughter, golfing and fantasy football.
What do you like most about working at RIA?
The collective experience and diagnostic caliber of this group is second to none. The care that goes into each report gives every referring provider the best possible guiding information and leads to the best possible outcome for each patient.
