How, when, and why did you decide to pursue a career in medicine?
Coming from a family of physicians and health care providers I had a hint early on that I wanted to pursue a career in medicine. Throughout my education, I was drawn to the sciences, in particular biology and physiology. I was fascinated with learning about living systems and how they function and thrive.
What do you like most about your job?
Practicing radiology integrates so many different fields of study that I’ve pursued over the years including anatomy, physiology, pathology, and physics. I get the opportunity to apply all that knowledge to treating patients and preventing disease every day. Radiology is also one of the most dynamic specialties in medicine and is continually growing and evolving. I enjoy embracing new challenges and learning new ideas to stay on top of the field.
What is your favorite way to spend free time (away from work)?
Outside of work I like to spend time outdoors with my family, enjoying Colorado’s abundance of natural beauty and opportunities for exploring. I also enjoy playing music and reading.
What do you like most about working at RIA?
With RIA, I get the privilege to work with top notch colleagues and staff who are not only experts in their fields, but who are defining how radiology is practiced and delivered to the communities and patients we serve.
