Bio

Daniel Wingard, DO, is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist with extensive experience in military and civilian settings. He delivers high-quality interventional radiology care at Invision Sally jobe in Denver, Colorado.

Dr. Wingard earned his Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He then completed his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Kansas City University of Medicine and biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri. Following medical school, he underwent a transitional rotating internship and a diagnostic radiology residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

Dr. Wingard has served as a staff radiologist in the US Army at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in Fort Hood, Texas, where he was the Chief of Mammography and the ACR Lead Interpreting Physician. He was deployed as a radiologist for Operation Inherent Resolve at the Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center in Iraq. 

Dr. Wingard holds multiple professional licenses in Virginia, Illinois, Texas, Louisiana, Iowa, Montana, and Oklahoma. He is an Authorized User by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and is MQSA (Mammography Quality Standards Act) compliant. He maintains a Basic Life Support certification from the American Red Cross.

His research contributions include published works on topics such as Morgagni hernia and PET/CT imaging, and he has presented over 20 oral presentations on various diagnostic radiology subjects. His radiology skills encompass MRI, CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and nuclear medicine, with particular strengths in musculoskeletal, emergency, and mammography imaging. He is also proficient in minor image-guided procedures like biopsies and drain placements.

In his free time, Dr. Wingard enjoys traveling, skiing, woodworking, and spending time with his wife, three children, and their dog.
